Minutes from meeting on April 2nd 2002

Meeting was called to order by our president at 6:00 pm in Area 51. Items on the Agenda included:

Zak Valentine
Eva McGowan
Peter Wiseman

Work progress from previous weekend
Group project assignments and progress
Materials/Tools purchases

1)
A first attempt was made at making a fusalage for the trainer planes. A shortage of material kept a complete fuse from being made. More research will have to be done into the structural design of the composite work. Alternate method to be tried: foam core. Foam core can be removed after curing if necessary.

2)
Main project areas and tenative assignments -

Fusalage - Eva
Wing - Brian
Vacuum System - Peter

These are the group leaders. Others are helping out with projects.

3)
More materials must be purchased immediately as follows.

- Composite tape
- Motors and props for trainers
- Trainer radio and receiver
- Foam

 

Next meeting will be Tuesday, April 2nd 2002 in Area 51 (DANA 51).
